Dr. Atul Kakar is Chairman of the Department of Internal Medicine at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi, and Professor at GRIPMER. With over 35 years of distinguished clinical experience, he specialises in Internal Medicine, Rheumatology, HIV Medicine, and Osteoporosis.
He holds Membership and Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Glasgow, and Fellowship of the Indian College of Physicians. He was recently awarded an Honorary Fellowship of the Global Association of Physicians of Indian Origin for contribution to health care.
He has completed Fellowship training in Rheumatology from AIIMS, New Delhi, and the EULAR course for rheumatic diseases. He conducts free OPDs for general medical, HIV, and rheumatological patients, has established an Osteoporosis Special Clinic, and serves as President of the Delhi Rheumatology Association (2024–2026).
